“The kindness and attention of the hotel personnel are captivating. The pre-sales and after sales services are noteworthy. They send you a welcoming e-mail letting you know how to park near the hotel (gold value in Vezelay in front of the cathedral), advise you in restaurant booking, etc. After your stay the ask how was it. Very professional. The hotel is located in front of the cathedral in a old building but the interior is renovated with extremely good taste! The shower was the best experience I had in France this time and the breakfast was excellent. Go for it!”

“Staff exceeding helpful. They had a staffing 'disaster' for breakfast and we got up to note on the main door asking us to walk down to their sister hotel who were brilliant- as was breakfast. The manager at La Terrace could not have been more apologetic but it was out of his control. Dinner was great and reasonably priced.”

“This is a small hotel with maybe six rooms, a very popular restaurant - booking essential - and an afternoon bar (if the weather makes it worthwhile opening - it was shut the afternoon it rained as no visitors about. On a sunny day, the terrace is a great place to have a drink and watch the world go by- or into the basilica opposite, which why you should visit Vézelay, as it is magnificent. Room was very comfortable and stylish, very happy spending time here whilst it rained. The staff are also great, very helpful and determined to make your stay a success.”
