“The hotel is an attractive low-rise affair set on a nicely landscaped hillside that includes some very tall pine trees. I was not in town to visit the University of Guelph, but the hotel is handily located right across from the University’s attractive grounds and is one block from a strip mall that almost completely consists of a wide variety of restaurants. The ample hotel parking was very convenient to a short covered walkway to hotel reception. The room was at least twice the size of a normal guestroom and for once the heating/cooling system worked well and was remarkably easy to use.”

“Location etc was excellent. Cleanliness was actual quite bad and the first night of our stay I started to look for other accommodation. We stayed since we had already unpacked. We accidentally went down the wrong hall. There was garbage everywhere. When we found our room there was a strong smell of garbage outside. The room itself stunk of what I would think was pot. We found some sort of substance in the fridge so you can see why cleanliness was of concern. Did not seem to be enough staff to do simple things like vacuum. There was a vacuum left in the hall most of our stay.”
“The staff here is awesome - friendly and accommodating. When we arrived the receptionist saw that we would be staying for 8 days (an unusually long time for the area) and upgraded us to a room with vaulted ceilings for no extra cost. The room was beautiful, spacious, big, and the vaulted ceilings made it feel luxurious. The bathtub was also a GREAT size for a hotel room.”
“All of the staff were just excellent; welcoming and accommodating! The room was quiet, cozy. Looking out into the trees from the window was lovely. We could easily walk to our family's place close by. Great value for the rate.”

“The room was very large and clean. Perfect for business traveller, with a very long desk, an ergonomic chair and lots of outlets. Appreciated fridge, iron, flat screen TV with lots of premium cable stns. Decent pressure in shower. The bed and linens are quite new, and very comfortable. Very quiet!”
“Kinda hard to find/get to from the road when your not familiar with the area in the dark. The breakfast was great, hot continental. The staff were nice and everything was very clean. Also you get a mini fridge in case you stay more nights.”
