“Rifugio Sapienza is located on the slope of Etna, just by the cable car (big discount for hotel guests). It is the best place to start your trip up the mountain. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves really good food.”

“This is a simple hotel but more than adequate. Staff were helpful and friendly; generous breakfast and our evening meals in the restaurant were excellent with large servings. Located next to cable car. We booked a day excursion to Etna at the kiosk close to the hotel and were given a discount as we were staying at the hotel.”

“Hotel is on the Etna mountain 2km above sea level. Recipients were kind, best location possible if you are going to visit top of the Etna. Food was tasty, Swedish table for breakfast with great variety, and restaurant below. Rooms were clean and comfy. Great value for money”

“We stayed one night in a triple room. The staff was very polite and helpful, they advised us on the hiking trails on Etna, plus they spoke good English. Breakfast was wonderful (continental breakfast). WiFi was working well, the room was was clean and quite. The location was perfect, right next to the cable car. We arrived by car and had no problems with parking. There is a restaurant onsite. They serve really delicious food, but the portions are get big. We would absolutely recommend Rifugio Sapienza.”
