“A historical church converted into a hotel recently, Renthof is a comfortable mix of old and modern. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and welcoming. There was a lovely inner garden cafe/restaurant where one could enjoy breakfast. It was very lively and packed during dinner time. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the main sites of Documenta which makes it ideal for those coming to see art in Kassel (and everyone else visiting the city). It is a popular hotel so book early!”
“The courtyard of the hotel is a wonderful escape all day long. The breakfast is adequate. The bar is a nice place for an evening cocktail. They made Negroni with the Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth... the barman shakes up some good cocktails. The restaurant also serves some interesting dishes, eg the goat cheese & beets salad, the burrata & mango salad...”
