“La Chuisa is highly recommended. The setting is beautiful with a large garden and terraces for relaxation. The views to Montepulciano and Pienza are spectacular. Montepulciano can be reached by foot, so can Pienza for more avid hikers. Our room was very cosy and clean, but a bit dark. But all rooms are different. We had the pleasure of being welcomed by Umberto who, upon arrival, treated us to a coulpe of glasses of prosecco along with his stories about the place. Dinner at La Chiusa is exquisite although expensive. Service is professional and impeccable. Special praise to Luigi who was very personable and attentive, bringing us our favorite breakfast treats without us having to ask. Luigi was also very helpful with daytrip advise. The location is ideal for couples who want peace and quiet but easy access to surrounding sights. Lots to do in the immediate area such as hiking and tasting olive oil. Make sure to visit Agr. Santa Maria for unadulterated saffran.”
