“We were efficiently checked in and taken to our room by the porter. The suite was 'old worldly' comfort with a seperate bedroom (with Queen bed) and a small lounge area with a desk...a large TV in each room. There was a full bathroom ensuite and a extra powder room. All the staff were very courteous and went out of their way to help us make food choices in the restaurant. The breakfast was included in our room rate ..a large selection of Chinese and adequate selection of western, with the kitchen willing to fry us eggs.The location of the property was very good with only a 10 minute walk to the riverside park walkway, close to a pedestrian mall, cheap shopping in the adjacent street if you are interested. Across the road is a convenience store, bakery and drink shop with many fruit stalls nearby.It is a very friendly, spacious city.”
“Big and clean hotel - almost "western standard". All necessities available, even iron and board. Booked a standard room, got upgraded to a superior one. Bathroom was spotless, only the couch and the plush carpet looked and felt a bit damp. Breakfast mostly chinese, some continental options like toast and marmalade. Location is excellent. Staff speaks sufficient english.”
