What guests loved the most

“Portmerion is one of my favourite places in the world, this is the first time staying in the village and we were not disappointed. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay again soon”

, United Kingdom

“good choice and freshly cooked hot breakfast.”

, United Kingdom

“THE WHOLE PACKAGE ROOM HAD A FANTASTIC VIEW OVER ESTUARY”

, United Kingdom

“Beautiful place to stay, the views from the room were lovely. Breakfast at the castle was excellent and plenty.”

, United Kingdom

“The room was quite large, with a small kitchen area including a sink. The views to the snowy topped mountains was excellent. We were driven down to Portmerion Village, it was a van, the bus being unavailable, but we had a good chat with the driver. Great service, the staff are brilliant.”

, United Kingdom

“We stayed at the Portmeirion village site in the Priors lodge - an extremely comfortable modern apartment containing a super-king bed, ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, clothes storage, & a small "kitchen" area with tea/coffee making facility & fridge - the overall size was large enough for a longer stopover, a really nice apartment indeed. We ate breakfast at the Castell Deudraeth restaurant as the Village Hotel was under refurbishment. We cannot rate that particular cooking & food choice (hearty and more lighter options available) highly enough. This is a great location to either chill or explore the Snowdonia region.”

, United Kingdom

“The biscuits in the room were lovely - and they give you a carafe of sherry. Shame we don't like sherry, would have loved an alternative! Beautiful cottage, excellent facilites, staff very helpful and friendly - and the walks are superb. When I last came, the woodland had been severely cut back which was understandable but really ruined the walks. Now it's beautifully wild again. Lovely shops too with interesting stuff in them.”

, United Kingdom

“I was staying in a room in the village & as the Hotel is closed for 2 weeks for refurbishment reception had moved to the Castle. A mini bus was provided to get from the castle (& hotel reception when it is open) to your room. It was also provided to take me to my evening meal in the Castle as it was heaving down with rain (22/11) that night. It also provided me with a lift to Minffordd Railway Station when my stay was over.”

, United Kingdom

“Inclusive shuttle-bus service on demand around site was great. Staff are friendly & helpful. The place is very atmospheric (day & night), especially if you have seen any episodes of "The Prisoner" TV series. Remember this destination is located on the North Wales coast & dress appropriately!! Warning of what functions & events are likely to occur during your stay would be useful as some features where being covered by marquees on the day we left.”

, United Kingdom

“Location is amazing right in the middle of the villageBed was big and comfyWe stayed in the lower mermaid, it was cosy and snuggly. You had control of the heating which was really nice.Fridge and a small kitchen even though it wasn't self catering.Clean, with items you used replaced daily.”
