“The Porta Colonia is a lovely family run hotel which is clean and tidy with friendly staff. Extra special things about this hotel are a cosy comfy bed and a powerful shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hotel is ideally located for getting the train to Aachen, Cologne, and Dusseldorf or a short walk into Eschweiler town centre. A nice surprise was breakfast being served on the sun terrace at the back of the hotel looking out over the gardens so you really felt like you were on holiday!”
