“The room, the pool, the location on top of a hill, the friendly and accessible staff, the breakfasts and the evening meal option were all fantastic and helped our tour to be one our most memorable holidays”
“The relaxed style, personal touch and friendly feel; the award winning Greek breakfast and simple yet tasty suppers; stunning and zen-inducing views; beautifully atmospheric and comfortable rooms; a historic site tastefully restored; and the wonderful companionship of the two resident dogs!”
“Truly amazing and unforgettable stay at Petropoulakis Tower! Recommend to relax at their pool, sip a cocktail and take in the breathtaking views over olive groves and the ocean. Petropoulakis tower is a historical gem hidden away in the hills behind Gythio. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food served consists of regional specialties, is fresh (home grown if possible) and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the best olives of my Greek holiday there!!! ”
“The views were wonderful. The guests mixed more than I am used to and this created a really pleasant visit.”
“Renovated Tower in true traditional style, stone walls, small window openings, rather dark interior, pretty cool (although clima is necessary some nights in August). The external court offers a panoramic view on the surrounding hills covered with olive trees. Location within 10 minutes drive from Gytheion, where you will drive in the evenings, as the Tower sits secluded on the top of a hill. Calm and quite surroundings.”
“The place was in a beautiful location on top of a hill. The breakfast was very good, varied with excellent produce. The staff was overall very nice and made you feel comfortable.”
“Amazing location, great stay, really friendly and helpful staff!!! Definitely will go back!”
“Beautiful place with a breathtaking view. Mr Demetris and his daughter Evgenia were very polite and helpful with everything we asked for! They even came to our car to say goodbye the day we left, we felt like leaving home! Food was GREAT and rooms very comfortable!”
“A wonderful place, with great food (homegrown and well cooked), superb views towards sea and mountains, friendly dogs, a good pool, plenty of places to walk without getting in a car, and perfectly located for exploring both the Mani and elsewhere in the southern Peloponnese. And if you want to walk to Gythio, it's only an hour (downhill) and a €10 taxi ride back. But what made it were the people, who were unfailingly helpful, generous, and friendly, with lots of advice on what to see, where to swim, what routes to take, and so on. One of the nicest places I have stayed. Hope to return soon!”
“The family-owned hotel is an oasis with a view of the sea. It is converted from an old farmhouse. The hosts are exceedingly solicitous and are available anytime for questions, itinerary planning, etc. The traditional fried Greek bread for breakfast was amazing. Evenings spent dining and relaxing by the pool were a wonderful way to end each day. This is a small hotel so it is easy to get to know the other clients and share travel stories from around the world.”
