“The hotel was very comfortable, and there were lots of areas to sit and relax. The wood fires were a great feature. The grounds were beautiful. We had dinner one night and the food was excellent. All the staff were lovely. Great buffet breakfast with loads of choice, especially liked fresh fruit salad, sausages and scrambled eggs.”

The gym, sauna, swimming pool, fires, cosy sofas and massage did not disappoint. Having stayed in several 4 & 5 star hotels, the service was on a par if not better than some we’ve experienced. The food was excellent in both the bar and restaurant and the hotels claim to be one of the hidden treasures of the New Forest is valid. The picturesque setting and grounds on top of the above made you feel you really were experiencing a special treat away. On the practical front the cleanliness and proximity of everything in the hotel made everything usable and accessible. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for meeting all our expectations.”
