“Bed was big and comfortable, tea available in room - lovely after walks laid out on the property. Bar menu had lots of choices at reasonable prices and staff went the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable”

“This is a 'Grand Hotel' which has managed to maintain its sense of elegance and that "old-world" attention to its guests: one is asked how one's day has been at dinner. They are generous in responding to any queries or requests. I loved the place: the situation and grounds are magical and the facilities (immaculate spa, lovely spaces for sitting, swimming pool, gym) mean that it's a perfect place to be cosy in during a storm (we arrived just after Hurricane Ophelia and during Storm Brian). I think if you're visiting Kerry during the 'off season' months, this would be my favourite place to stay. Despite it's countryside position, it really works outside of the summer months too. I so hope the hotel manages to maintain its old world charm as it continues to modernise. It's now a great mix of old and new. We hope to return.”
