“The hotel was family owned and operated. Located directly on the ocean. The room had an ocean view. It was older but that added to the charm. It was extra clean and spacious for a family of four. Two separate bedrooms. It is located a mile from the entrance to Bay of Fundy National park for great hiking. The owner Andrew gave us a great tip to sit by McLaren pond at dusk (bring bug spray) and watch the beavers at work. All the hotel staff were courteous, helpful and pleasant. The Tides Restaurant was fantastic. We toured Bar Harbor, Alma, Hopewell and Bangor. Hands down the best meals. The chef prepares a menu of inventive, healthy and delicious dishes. I can't remember the last time I had fiddlehead ferns in my salad. Make reservations to be seated at a window table in the dining room and bring your camera. There are bird feeders in the windows and you can watch the hummingbirds dine right alongside your table.”
