“Perfect bed. Very courteous staff. Top value for money, even considering the time of the year. I rarely ever eat breakfast and made no exception this time, so i cannot judge on however, staff was swift and friendly in making me a coffee.”

“I really do not understand people complaining about the somewhat "vintage" appearance of this hotel, because in my opinion this is actually one of its charming features: you stay in a structure keeping alive a '40s-'50s atmosphere, with its seasoned luxury reminiscent of movies with Grace Kelly and Ingrid Bergman. The surrounding landscape is breath-taking: the hotel is amid the woods of steep mountains, on a natural terrace overviewing the Lake of Lugano. The restaurant is fantastic and the breakfast very rich. Last but not least, the courtesy of the director (or owner) and of his staff are gratefully acknowledged.”

“There is a good view of the lake from the extensive garden in front of the hotel and a good-sized covered and heated swimming pool. The dining room was light and welcoming.The breakfast selection was excellent with some particularly delicious cheeses.”
“Walking up to the hotel the thing that struck me was the traditional countryside vibe that it held. The surrounding mountains, lush greenery and views of the lake can only be described as spectacular. My reservation was for 2 nights and my room was a standard double which was comfortable, clean and very tidy. The hotel staff were very professional and approachable. Overall a lovely stay!”
