“Reception staff were very helpful, especially the guy who came out to assist with our parking, there is sloped access to the car park and the snow had made it awkward to park. John who carried our luggage to our room and arranged for us to have some chips, even though the kitchen had closed for the night, was particularly helpful. The room was cosy and warm with an adjustable thermostat.”

“The staff are fantastic, really friendly and very helpful. The food is absolutely gorgeous, steak is so nice and the onion rings complement it very well, as do the salad and the perfectly cooked chips. Beer is good :) If you are looking for a nice place to stay with reasonable prices and on a main bus route to Durham, about 50 minutes on bus no 6 from the garage across the road, this is the place, and you will not meet staff nicer than the ones here, I promise.”
