“It was an amazing 4 day stay. We liked basically everything . From the warm reception from the owners, to the sights of the fully restored property and the amazing breakfast and mid-afternoon snack that was served. Everything was done thinking about the visitors. Just the fact that we could have breakfast any time of the day... it was a huge bonus for us, since we like to sleep through the morning. The staff is just tireless to please and make your stay a memorable event. For sure we will come back!!!”

“We liked everything about this place. Starting from the owners and the staff, the calm, the rooms, the pool area, the delicious afternoon "tea time" with the owners and the other guests. Just like taking some time with friends. Really nice to get to know the other lucky ones. The conversations about chocolate and the visit (with tasting) to the chocolate factory. The kids loved the place even though at the start we thought that they were going to disrupt the peace. Everything was done so that we felt at home with the kids. They didn't want to leave. A big table for breakfast, and a dining room just for us. The food and wine were excellent, local and fresh. Ask for the chocolate mousse...but not for the recipe, its a well kept secret for some generations now. We'll go back, for sure.”

“This old Viscount's house is wonderfully restored and welcoming, staff and owner more like friends, we were offered a free upgrade before we even saw our room which was beautiful, but we took the upgrade because it was nearer the pool and the day was very hot. And then the Chocolate factory for added interest ! The small pool in the quiet back garden of citrus trees and birdsong was paradise after a long hot drive. The town itself a heritage treasure , we enjoyed our morning stroll around the streets of the old and historic town, with our hosts insisting we take a light breakfast before we returned for "proper breakfast"! 30 minutes drive from Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage site we felt we had experienced the best of central Portugal with our stay here. We'd certainly hope to return.”

“Amazing hosting run by Moises and Sandra. Five star staff, always proactive and available to help. Great breakfast with delicious local products: bread, jams, cheese, ... The swimming pool is also great with a lovely garden around it. Dinner was a good surprise, especially for its home made authenticity. The experience provided to the kids in the chocolate factory, in which they've made their own chocolate bar, was extraordinary.”
