“The breakfast variety was ok, but not great. The parking area had plenty of room. The sights from the hotel were fantastic but if you are active you would get the same sights as you move around the island anyways. I might recommend this hotel during the summer but it is too pricey during the winter as you cannot really use your balcony or the terrace areas so in the end it is just a half-empty hotel with ok rooms. Some of the staff was really nice.”
“Housekeeping was phenomenal. They noticed that I'd taken the extra blanket down, so they added warm blankets to my sheets partway through my stay. Twice, I stayed in my room until after lunchtime before leaving, and assumed I wouldn't get my room made up. They managed to do it both times anyway. Great location for taking the #39 bus (schedule provided at check-in) for 1.95E each way to Funchal so you don't have to worry about parking or booking the complimentary shuttle. The view from the bay-view rooms was stunning.”

“Great view over the city and the ocean. Drink in the evening highly recommended (good restaurant in the hotel) and a breakfast with such a view is a great start of the day. Hotel offers also bus service to the city center. On the rooftop there is a swimming pool with sauna.”
