“We stayed in the tent room which was really nice and well equipped. The location is far from the city center but in a nice and quite area just in front of a wetland park that gives nice views from the room. The stuff was very nice and helpful. Dispite they don't speak english we manage to commuinicate via translation app and they helped us plan our day at Zhangye booking for us a driver that took us around to all the places we wanted to visit.”

“The tent/room that we stayed in was beautiful and had a very nice bathroom. The lady at reception was super friendly and helpful. Even though she didn't speak English we could communicate quite easily through an app on her phone. She even made our taxi driver get the same app when he picked us up (for daytrip to Danxia, which she also helped us with). Nice view of the wetlands from our room. Location is a bit out of the city but there was a little shop and two good restaurants close by.”

“It is amazing to sleep in a Tibetan tent inside the room. The pictures only tell part of the story, you really feel like you live there. The floor has (fake) grass that makes it amaing to walk around with bare feet. Our four small kids (5-12 years) loved it! They also serve a nutritious Chinese breakfast every morning in the room. The staff is very friendly and they helped to book a private car/tour to see the major sites around the area. Great price.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Northwest Folkways Inn. The interior design of the property was really thought out and the rooms spacious and airy. It was great to wake up to the view of the wetland and the breakfast provide was good beef noodles at a local restaurant. Although little English was spoken by most members of staff, they were always friendly and helpful.”

“The hotel is very close to the Zhangye Wetland park, about 5 minutes on foot, and the surroundings are beautiful. The staff also did their very best to help, even arranging a tour of the Danxia Geopark and a shuttle back to the railway station. There are also some restaurants nearby as well as a small shop.”

“Abbiamo dormito nella camera con la tenda "yurta", bellissima ed enorme! Il personale non parla inglese, ma con una app siamo riusciti a capirci e sono tutti gentilissimi. Siamo stati solo due notti, ma consiglio di restare di più, infatti ci sono tante cose da fare e vedere in zona oltre alle Rainbow mountains.”

“Ich habe dieses Hotel in erster Linie wegen der Einrichtung der Zimmer gewählt, die wirklich schön ist. Das eigentliche Highlight jedoch war die große Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Rezeptionistin. Sie sprach zwar kein Englisch und ich kein Chinesisch, aber mit Hilfe der elektronischen Übersetzung klappte alles wunderbar. Deshalb habe ich mich sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Danke :-)!”
