“We were in Nuwara Eliya in May 2017 and we stayed at the Nidwalden Resort. Great hosts - JP and Loga treated us like family. They were extremely hospitable and ensured that our stay was comfortable in all angles. Our 3 night package included bed and breakfast and we had booked two triple rooms. The breakfast was not buffet style however we asked for what we would like to have and Loga cooked all our favourite dishes. We also had lunch and dinner on two occasions and we were charged very reasonable amounts. The rooms were comfortable and clean. A heater was provided on request at an extra charge of AUD5 per night for one of our rooms. For the other room we didn't require a heater as there were really good blankets and it wasn't that cold. Hot water was available in both the rooms. Rooms are spacious. Bathroom is old style but clean. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.”
“JP, the house owner, is a very outgoing social person, who welcoms you with great hospitality, even into his kitchenette.”
“Excellent hosts whop helped a lot organizing the stay Authentic experience Nice view over Nuwara”
“JP and his family were extremely friendly and accommodating. Staying with them felt like being at home. JP gave us a lift into town, to Nanu Oya and I would recommend his services to take you to Horton Plains too. His wife, Loga cooked us an excellent meal and we got to see how it was all cooked. The rooms are simple but clean. The family speak very good English and are very helpful providing advice on what to do. JP is very jovial and provided much interesting conversation about Sri Lankan culture and history. ”
“JP & LOGA, the excellent friendly host, tried to make us comfortable by calling us up to ask wat we would have for dinner, much before we arrived. Then the amazing tea by Loga is something definately we need to mention. They went out of the way to make some amazing snacks for us to be had with drinks. We chatted like friends.JP's energy and jovial nature was a great company. While talking they got to know it was our son's birthday the next day. They pleasently surprised us by getting him a cake in the morning. The breakfast was once again very delicious of sambhol and coconot roti prepared and served hot by Loga. Offcourae along with the amazing tea !!!! Very nice experience and it was. Wise decision for us to stay there. Hope to keep in touch with both of them”
“JP and his wife Loga were one if the friendliest, most welcoming hosts I have ever met. Nidwalden is their home and they welcomed us into sincerely and whole-heartedly. We only stayed for two nights but I felt like I'd known them for years as they treated us like part of the family.JP couldn't do enough for us and Loga's food was some of the best we tasted in Sri Lanka. I loved spending the evening with them around their kitchen table. A truly special place with very special people.”
“Extremely welcoming hosts. Genuinely really nice people. Loga's cooking is delicious!”
“The location was quite nice- up on a hill overlooking the town.”
“Very nice place to stay. Jp and Loga are amazing, they take care of everything we need and was so friendly. Loga makes amazing sri lancan food! we recommend this place for you!”
“Room was clean. Shower was hot. Bed was very comfortable. We had a room upstairs which was very quiet. Hosts went above and beyond to make sure that we had an enjoyable time, including giving us lifts when possible and suggesting activities. JP and Loga were always happy for a chat. Breakfast and dinner were delicious - every meal was something different.”
