“The Hotel has lots of land that leads down to the River Thames. There was a friendly atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. The food served in the restaurant was great. The room had lots of original features IE. Dado rail, picture rail and original fireplace, which we loved. Due to it being a listed building it has the original sash windows. Could be a little noisy when customers were leaving at the end of the evening. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. Cereal, fruit juices, fresh fruit, yogurts plus a full English if desired. The hotel needs decorating in parts, but I believe that the new owners are relatively new and will make this an even better place to stay.”

“Not a great deal to like. Room had poor blinds and no curtains. Low pressure water from shower. Room was tired and not overly clean.”
“Clean, comfortable, simply decorated room. Hotel well positioned for walkers of the Thames Path. Had dinner in the cosy bar. Excellent beef pies with lots of vegies and very good chips. Breakfast was also good. Staff were really helpful. Owners' son gave us some very useful information about the new section of the Thames Path which wasn't in our guide book which meant we could avoid a long road walk in the rain. Much appreciated.”
