“This location, has undergone the Motel 6 Update/ Reset. I have stayed at numerous Motel 6 locations throughout the country since the 80's. This location in Altoona is nice and clean. From the road perspective, it is definitely older, as it is a One Story Shotgun design, but if you can get over the Motel 6 stigma of cheap, it is a very decent location otherwise. The gentleman working the desk the evening we arrived, was nice and courteous, as was the staff working the AM shift upon checkout. The bedding was comfortable, and was clean. Not a bug in sight, nor a sign of dirtiness anywhere. The room was equipped with a 32" LED TV, and though the channel selection is limited in Altoona, it was nice to be able to watch something clearly, while getting my eyes off the road. Accessibility wise, this location is about a 1/2 Mile off the main roads in Altoona, and the entrance appears a bit deceiving, as there is a residential house at the driveway, but otherwise it is fairly easy to find. If you are traveling with pets, this location is definitely pet friendly. Yes, you need to disclose that you have pets with you at check-in, but that is the only piece of information they need. Wi-Fi was optional for a $5 Fee for 24 Hours. Being that I had data to use, I just turned one my devices into a secure hot-spot and utilized that for Wi-Fi. Thus, I have no experience with the Wi-Fi signal. If you are on the road, and need a comfy bed to sleep in for the night, I definitely recommend stopping at this location. Whenever we come back through Altoona, I will be staying here again.”
