The wonderful attention to detail, I felt as if I was visiting friends, very attentive, respectful friends who couldn't do enough for us. I celebrated my 60 th birthday here. The superb grounds/gardens were a factor in our enjoyment of Middlethorpe Hall, and the historic, interesting interior and restoration of an historic house. Spa was also superb and much enjoyed.”

“What a beautiful place - a proper country house hotel in wonderful grounds. My room was in the old stable block in a lovely courtyard setting - with a very comfortable double bed (it was a single room). The public rooms in the main house were beautifully luxurious and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The pool in the spa was small but adequate, with a lovely warm jacuzzi at the side.”
