“Our room was a long way from the reception, but the concierge was very happy to help with our cases. We arrived rather earlier than expected but the receptionist found us an available room without any hesitation.”
“Amazing hotel in beautiful setting. Great value for money. A real treat.”
“The building/location is absolutely stunning especially when it snows! Like a scene from Harry Potter, amazingly beautiful!”
“The bed was very comfortable , staff extremely helpful .”
“The bedrooms were of a very high standard and very comfortable”
“Beautiful location, nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. We were very happy with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.”
“The breakfast was bog standard and lukewarm. The staff at breakfast were nice, however. The Privilege room at double the price of the classic double is DEFINITELY not worth it! For double the price you get the "privilege" of a complimentary bar with some soft drinks and snacks (KitKat and a packet of crisps and I don't mean each!?) and a larger tv screen. This is all for double the price!? I presume that the very, very cheap toilet paper is not an upgrade. The swimming pool and spa area were nice. Fairly big pool for an hotel and very clean in pool and showers, locker room, surrounding area, etc. Also, the first room we were shown to had a very odd set up. The bed was fitted with an extremely lumpy topper over which was a cover that didn't fit and when I pulled it back the mattress was covered in hairs. Very odd, indeed but we got moved.”
“The main hotel is really old 1700's so loads of features, log fires and with the Christmas trees and decorations up it looks amazing.”
“Nice room, very clean, comfy bed, very friendly staff, had a nice and relaxing stay.”
“Amazing bed, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, helpful staff, hotel was immaculate, stunning architecture and great food.”
