“Great holidays in this lovely and peaceful resort, in the middle of nowhere! The view over the jungle is outstanding! (Squirrels and birds all around.) The staff is very nice and helpful. Our room was confortable and spacious. With a car and a driver, we made many excursions nearby (Little Adam's Peak, waterfalls, Dambatanne Tea Factory). Swimming pool very nice too.”

“The views are truly unique. The location seems well chosen: It is a bit lower than Haputale and when there are clouds, it seems to be less affected by them. The location is absolutely quiet, and there are plenty of animals, especially birds and monkeys. The surrounding gardens are beautiful, everything is clean and pleasant, the staff attentive and friendly. We had very enjoyable three days at the Melheim.”

“The food was excellent, especially the Sri Lankan curry. Also, upgraded as we were off-peak. Friendly staff and very helpful. It's a good stopover if you're going from North to South or vice versa. Consider having an extra day relaxing here as it seems a very peaceful base camp.”
