“The location of the hotel was ideal, on the main road with easy access to Yosemite. The lady at the front desk was lovely and waited up to let us in as we were later arriving than we expected. The hotel itself is quaint and quirky and room was a good size, as was the bathroom.”
“The proprietor of the hotel, Mary, is an awesome lady. She was so warm and welcoming, we felt like we were being invited into her amazing home. The hotel sits on the main street and is walking distance to many fun places to eat and drink. The rooms were large and comfy. Bed was good too. I would highly recommend...that is provided you are not of the 'Hilton' or "Intercontinental" mindset. This felt like the real America.”
“The ild building makes the experience even better. The golden era in mariposa town is part of a great trip that conclude in Yosemite.”
“The hotel is in a historic building dated 1901. The interior is kept in a style corresponding with the building age. Lots of old prints on corridor walls tell the interesting history of Mariposa. Some of the newspapers feature photos of the hotel building. Some really good restaurants in the vicinity. Mary, the innkeeper, is a very pleasant and helpful person. She adds so much to the hotel value!”
“Lovely old inn in a cute little town within a reasonable distance from Yosemite”
“150 year old quaint hotel.Good base for Yosemite. Loved seeing the humming birds whilst eating breakfast on the veranda”
“Bed was comfortable. Host was friendly and location good”
“Such a cozy and charming place to stay! Old house, archaic style, bed and breakfast type stay. Hummingbirds on the terrace! The owner is absolutely wonderful and bery helpful. Very clean and welcoming hotel. Mariposa is a very charming place to stay if you're visiting Yosemite Park. Restaurants and bars are plenty, even though it's a village really.”
“Very nice couple running the show. Made us feel very welcome. Best location right in the heart of town.”
“Breakfast (pastries, yogurts, muffins & fruit) with the hummingbirds on the veranda was a real treat. Excellent restaurants a short stroll from the front door of the establishment. Comfortable bed and spacious room. I loved the town so much that I hope to return again soon. Only an hour drive to the park and more pleasant than staying in the park itself.”
