“Mango Guesthouse is excellent value for money and in a great spot in Pangandaran, right across the road from some nice beach bars and it is not too far to walk from the bus station when you arrive. My friend and I arrived late in the evening and it was easy to arrange a tour to Green Valley and Green Canyon for the next day, which was definitely highlight of our time in Java. Get Eng to be your guide if possible, he was great! I also really enjoyed the breakfast of banana pancakes, cooked to order - the staff were flexible about timing and accommodated our early departure which was kind of them. The room was clean and pleasant enough, of course nothing fancy (note the foam mattresses which was fine for me but might bother some people). If you want a soulless, sterile hotel, pick somewhere else, but I really enjoyed the tranquil, relaxed vibe of this place.”

“Extremely good price, clean rooms, very friendly staff, good location near a more quiet part of the beach. The atmosphere is relaxed like it used to be 20 years ago. Also I recommend the tours with Ang, he is very friendly and trustworthy! Me and my family enjoyed every minute of our stay!”

“The owner, Mr.Nurdin was really friendly and helpful. We booked for 4 rooms to have family gathering, but since several of them were trapped in a heavy traffic jam, and decided to cancel their trip. So, we cancelled their room, and He helped us arrange it. They sent someone as our route guide when approaching the hotel direction. It is a sign of appreciation and warm welcome. Free flow of water in front of the room. The wifi was okay too.”

“Run by an amazing group of people who are extremely helpful and genuine. Have a brilliant team of guides who show you real Java. Right near to the beach and can sort you out with surfboard rental/lessons. And excellent banana pancakes for breakfast!”

“What an incredible place to stay, right opposite the beach with bars and places to eat nearby. Breakfast was good and the local coffee even better. The most impressive thing was the staff, I have never met more helpful staff or more caring it was like a family. I really wish that every place we stay at had people like this. Thank you Manny”

“Great staff who were very helpful with advice and even arranged train tickets and transportation to the train station. On top, the tour guides working with the guest house are great and the tours to the national park and to the green valley/canyon were both amazing.”

“We had a great stay here! We were welcomed by a happy Dean who was very friendly. If we needed anything, 'just ask or tell'. We rented a motorbike at Mango and also went on 2 trips with the guesthouse's own guide, Toto. If you have the time you should definitely do that (Pangandaran national park and Green Valley & Green Canyon) Furthermore, Dean even took us to a traditional javanese wedding one evening, great to see! And last but not least: best banana pancakes I've had in Indonesia.”

“Mango is a perfect little home away from home in Pangandaran. It's in a super central location, in a nice little alleyway. Staff is so friendly, making our stay super pleasant. They have a great network of tour guides and surf instructors. We were sad to say goodbye to all of them.”
