“This hotel has personality. In the 70's & 80's it was the place of choice for newly weds' first night. The rooms have good size, offering comfortable large beds & great bathrooms. We found it very clean. Hotel staff was super friendly & attentive, although reception did get busy sometimes. They could do with some extra help. The location is perfect, in the city center right in front of the lovely Guaíra Theatre, nearby outstanding Portuguese colonial architecture, a gorgeous cathedral at Tiradentes square and not too far from their amazing Sunday maket at Largo da Ordem. Ask for a room with a view of the Federal University - another mesmerizing building.”
