“Very nice staff. The nice gentleman at the bar filled my thermos with good hot water morning and night so I could make my special herbal tea. He didn't charge me, and in the end treated me to some gorgeous ripe figs that came right from his garden. Lucky timing! As a picky eater the breakfast was not my thing on the first morning, EXCEPT for the fantastic papaya and pineapple, ripe and sweet with no added sugar. The second morning I brought my own gluten free bread to toast as theirs was not so great, and they made fresh soft boiled eggs and extra crispy bacon, so all in all a good stay. Close to the Talamanca beach without the wind, and you can walk just a couple minutes and be on the boardwalk and go left or right for many great restaurants and volcanic rustic isolated beach.”

“All the staff at the Lux Isla are superb, my booking was cancelled in error, but they called me the day before I flew to reassure that they had a room for me, In fact they gave me a 2 x bedroom apartment, 1 minute from the hotel. They also arranged collection from the airport & there was a welcoming bottle of bubbly & fruit in the apartment as an apology. Thoroughly recommend the Lux, customer service is amazing. Great choice for breakfast, fresh & tasty food selection. Hotel is spotless, the beds are very comfy!! Fantastic place!”
