“We should have warned at the time of booking that we had a small dog : although the hotel was shown as 'pet-friendly'' , dogs were not allowed in the carpeted restaurant (unusual for France), but the manager kindly went out of his way to make a special arrangement for us to dine in an area where there was no carpet on the floor. The food was excellent.”
