“Franca was lovely and went out of her way to make sure we felt at home from personalising the breakfast time (we had to leave a bit early) to providing suggestions for dinner and places to visit in the area. This was our second time at Locanda Martelletti and we will be looking for reasons to come back and visit again!”
“Quirky, but very old and unique. Views are from most rooms stunning. You need a car, Cocconato is a small village of 1600 people, so very quite by 9.30. Eating is very limited to three very local businesses and certainly not fine dining.”
“Old building full of character. Had lovely big room with great view. Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment. Helpful owner speaks good English.”
“Stunning hill-top location in a lovely Medieval town Beautifully converted large house, dating back to 11th Century!”
“Both the dinner and breakfast arranged by the hotel is nice and the wines are also very nice! The hostess family is very friendly to everyone and the whole town is very quiet.”
“Locanda Martelletti is a unique family run hotel in a medieval hilltop village. Guests need to be able to climb stairs and to cope with narrow passageways in order to enjoy this lovely old building. We received a warm welcome from Franca our host and she was happy to discuss the history of the building. Our room was spacious and well equipped with fabulous views of the village and the valley below. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and were offered a selection of wines produced by the family. Breakfast was a feast of meat, local cheeses, bread, preserves, fruit and croissant.”
“A character-full historic property, lovely large rooms and a great view, plus friendly and hospitable hosts”
“Charming hotel in beautiful settings, warm and helpful family/staff, highly recommended.”
“La gentillesse de la gérante de l'établissement (elle parle très bien français). Le cadre magnifique et la vue depuis la chambre La propreté, le calme...”
“Camera meravigliosa in un palazzo da sogno e la proprietaria squisita!”
