“A beautiful setting. Great location. Our room was on the first floor which wasn't ideal. Would have preferred something with more of a view. But a great find!”
“Such a beautiful property and comfy rooms. The staff however is their top asset - so incredibly helpful, kind and patient! We had the pleasure of being helped by Alexander and Gilles, and they both great, thank you!”
“We loved the location... we could walk everywhere we wanted without having to use the car. The room was quiet and peaceful and has beautiful views. Breakfast was excellent! So many things to choose from including homemade applesauce- don't miss it!”
“The breakfast was wonderful! Everything was very delicious, hot & fresh. The only hitch was we were not aware that they served alcohol so we bought some wine & cheese to have outside on the patio. The staff came out & told us about a corking fee. No a big deal but unexpected.”
“This is a beautiful looking hotel from the outside and rather traditionally French inside. The staff were helpful and pleasant and the location is excellent with all of the town's main sites in walking distance. However, we were given a room on the ground floor which was only accessible by going outside. The room itself was fairly small thoug comfortable enough. The bathroom floor is extremely slippy when wet, which I only discovered when I fell, fortunately only bruising and scraping my elbow. The breakfasts are adequate and the scrambled eggs were great, but at €17 each, very overpriced. I would recommend it for the location but suggest you are careful about which room you get and take real care when showering.”
“Modern, clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, plenty of towels. Staff at front desk very helpful and accommodating. Beautiful common area that we did not take advantage of.”
“The reception staff were very charming and helpful. The building and gardens were pristine. The view of the Loire from our attic room window.”
“Giles, the manager, was extremely friendly and professional. We stayed two days. We should have stayed longer. The castle that is in Amboise should not be missed as well as Leonardo Da Vinci's home. Both a matter of a few minutes walk from the hotel.”
“The Manoir had been recommended by a good friend some years ago but this was the first opportunity we had had to visit it. We were tired after a long drive from Caen and, after receiving a warm welcome and being shown to our beautifully appointed room, we went out for supper and had an early night. Our twin beds were most comfortable with fragrant bedlinen, and breakfast the following morning was varied, ample and really delicious.”
“To begin- The staff helped us get to our rental car from the train station as we realized no cabs are available at this small train station in Amboise. The grounds are small and beautiful- with a beautiful Chateau rising over the property. Visit the Chateau! Breakfast in the morning is charming. The location is a very short walk to the main "town". I would stay again.”
