“Staying at Le Citizen was a wonderful experience. We arrived early in the morning and were surprised to find that our room was ready for us, which was a big relief. The staff went above and beyond to be accommodating to us and to our family. The price may seem a little bit higher than at other hotels, but they do such a good job that it is well worth it. On top of that, the view of the canal is lovely and we enjoyed staying in this area of Paris, which we had not stayed in before (the Saturday market down at the Bastille was fun). I can't recommend it enough!”

“Unique, recently completely refurbished, small hotel next to canal locks. Modern room, comfortable bed, contemporary bathroom fixtures, clean, almost Scandinavian feel, great shower. Owner was fantastic. Very attentive to making sure we had a good experience, including a breakfast geared to our diet. The staff all spoke good English. We looked for something different, off the beaten track, and the Citizen Hotel way exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.”
