“I liked the view from the balcony (we were on the top floor with a sea view). The breakfast (included) was good with plenty of seating available with views of the mountain depending where you sit. Sometimes annoyed by wasps, so if this is a problem for you, bring something to combat. We liked the area and the availability of some good local restaurants as we preferred not to drive at night. Be aware that Hotel Lara is located on a steep hill so those with limited mobility may find it unsuitable. It wasn't a problem for us.”

“My bed was really comfortable with what seemed like a newish mattress (although my friend's bed was awful - see above). Nice to have the little balcony and the location was perfect for walking to local restaurants and the beach whilst still pleasantly quiet. I noticed on other reviews that people complained about having to walk up the steep hill - it isn't bad at all, nothing worth mentioning unless you generally have difficulty getting around. The pool was rather nice and the staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. Having travelled all over the island during our stay, we couldn't have picked a better location for what we wanted.”
“We have stayed at the Lara Hotel before and were happy to return on this occasion. The hotel is clean and homely and the outdoor pool/patio area is lovely and gets sun all day. Parking available and the breakfast is simple and fresh. Excellent location with just a short walk to the beach and a Taverna across the road (many others and shops within walking distance). We would not hesitate to go back!”
