“The bed is large and has a wide mosquito net all around it. The ac works perfectly and the mini fridge allows to keep the water fresh Nice breakfast with fruits and toast The house is pretty new and the room also has a tv on which you can use USB stick if you wish to watch your own movies :)”

“The host Pedim and Lara took really good care of us - they welcomed us with a fresh fruit drink, explained anything we needed to know, arranged a snorkeling tour and always had an eye on everything: for example once we left some of our clothes outside to dry in the sun and while we were gone it started to rain, Pedim took them and put them under the roof so they won't get wet. Plus, we had an amazing time with them and learned more about Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is completely new and the standard really high for Sri Lanka standards, the best place we stayed at so far (we would prefer it over the 5 star hotel we had in Bentota) and the area itself is also great: to Mirissa it's a 20 minute walk or 4 minute drive where you will find nice bars and restaurants and a wonderful and lively beach, close to the hotel you find a breathtaking, rather calm beach as well. So in a nutshell: book it, you won't regret it.”

“We spent five nights at the Lagoon Resort, which is a newly built small, family-run hotel in Thalaramba, about 2-3km east of Mirissa. The place is spotless, the beds comfy, the breakfast delicious. The family who run it are lovely, really helpful people, who made our stay special. They have a tuk tuk so getting into town is easy (takes 5mins) but you can also walk along the beach at low tide. If you prefer a quieter, more local vibe, this place is perfect and the nearby beaches are more wild and serene than the crowded Mirissa beach.”
