“Ito is small, quiet town, but it is a great base for exploring the Izu peninsula, with excellent bus and train service. Laforet is a beautiful hotel, modern but with very elegant Japanese touches. Our room and the entire hotel, including Onsen baths, were immaculate. The Onsen baths are inside the hotel and are cleaned daily from 10 am - 3 pm. Baths are available for men, for women, and for families. Our room included 'half-board' (breakfast and dinner) and both meals were outstanding for quality and selection. The dinners were 8-course affairs, made to order, with the the freshest fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood. The service was excellent on every level.”
