“This was a repeat visit to Villa de L'Ecluse and it was just as brilliant as we remembered it. The location and setting are great, looking out over the lock and the river and watching the boats go by and having the opportunity to go for a stroll along the river or into the adjacent park. The owners have restored, extended and modernised the property beautifully and it is great to look back through the photos of how the property used to be. Everything has been done with the greatest of taste. The furnishing and facilities within the bedroom are very nice, with a generous sized fridge and useful tea-making facilities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast is in the very tasteful dining room overlooking the river/lock and is of excellent quality with a really good choice. If you do wish to go out for an evening meal there is a very good restaurant within the park just a short stroll away.”

Promptly printed out boarding passes. 10. Had to leave at 630 in the morning so breakfast was provided early. 11. Good breakfast including on request scrambled eggs and omelette.”

“Lovely newish hotel right on the bank of the Oise. You can watch the boats in the lock from the terrace, walk along the footpath next to the water or walk into town for shopping or food. Our bathroom and bedroom was quite large and the restaurant offers an array of all one could want at the breakfast buffet. The dinner menu is small but fine and the mi-cuit molten chocolate cake on salted caramel sauce was the best dessert I have ever had in my life! The staff was great and printed my boarding passes for my flight. 25 minutes to the airport makes it ideal for travelers.”
