“The staff were without exception polite, friendly and helpful. We booked a triple room but were put in a separate accommodation of a similar standard across the road from the main hotel where we had a full sized apartment with two rooms and a kitchenette. The bed was hard but the manager arranged a softer mattress from a sofa bed which worked well. Breakfast was magnificent, including fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice, a huge range of pastries and eggs cooked to order at a small supplement. We had one evening meal at the main hotel which was one of the best we had during our first week in Sicily. Great for visiting Etna and the Alcantara gorge. We only wished we had stayed longer.”
