“The family owners of this wonderfully atmospheric old hotel are lovely and welcoming. The walls are decorated with generations of paintings, hangings, momentous and family portraits and photographs. It is a treasure trove for those interested in more than a flashy surface. Scrupulously clean rooms. Terrific food as good as anything encountered in Tuscany. With more time and better Italian we could have learned much more about this hidden gem and its alluring past...”
