Pass through our gates and into our home, La Casa Sol, a charming house recently declared as one of Quito's cultural heritage sites - and recently renovated into a Bed and Breakfast for you, the international sojourner.
La Casa Sol is owned and managed by an indigenous couple from Otavalo. Together, they decided to settle down in Quito after he spent many years traveling the world with his Andean music band--he plays ten different types of flutes! Since then they have dedicated their time to La Casa Sol, creating a welcoming and intimate place for travelers to relax and feel at home. Through tasteful simplicity, indigenous design, and balanced energy, their guests say that they have created such a place; an oasis in the Ecuadorian Andes.
At La Casa Sol you will find hospitality, security, cleanliness and a warm family environment.

“There are charming design touches everywhere--lots of local art and colorful furnishings. Breakfasts were individually made and delicious. Internet service was even faster than we have at home. Staff was cheerful, courteous, and invariably helpful.”
“The staff members were wonderful. A quiet, cozy, secure environment.”
“Friendly staff, good level of English, very comfortable bed. Clean room serviced daily. Neighbourhood safe to walk around by day and evening, high police presence. Excellent Ecuadorian restaurant a couple of hundred metres down the road (mama Colinda)”
“- There was common room with fireplace - Friendly staff - Convenient location close to many bars and restaurants /but hotel itself is on quiet street/ - Offered few tours outside of town”
“Wonderful Manageress. Lovely quirky place full of nice touches. WiFi and breakfasts spot on.”
“Comfortable beds / pillows, good water pressure , plenty of hot water, very clean and very nice atmosphere ! The Staff was wonderful ; could not have been more kind and helpful!”
“The staff at La Casa Sol go out of their way to make you feel like family. They got up extra early to make us breakfast, and even helped me with laundry out of kindness. This might be one of the best places you can stay in Quito -- in terms of location and the hospitality of the staff.”
“Well located, extremely friendly staff, cleaness, comfortable bed”
“"The staff maketh the Casa" is a proverb to remember, and its part of the reason that Casa Sol won us over. The rooms are great, with funky artwork, good facilities. The breakfasts are big and healthy, and prepared right in front of you. Laundry service is cheap compared to other quito casas so make use if it. Large library on premise is a nice touch. The coffee ground and served here is great so make aure you ask for cup! (Free and also complimentary at breakfast)”
“The woman who was always smiling at the check-in desk was very nice.”
