La Casa Sol is owned and managed by an indigenous couple from Otavalo. Together, they decided to settle down in Quito after he spent many years traveling the world with his Andean music band--he plays ten different types of flutes! Since then they have dedicated their time to La Casa Sol, creating a welcoming and intimate place for travelers to relax and feel at home. Through tasteful simplicity, indigenous design, and balanced energy, their guests say that they have created such a place; an oasis in the Ecuadorian Andes.

“"The staff maketh the Casa" is a proverb to remember, and its part of the reason that Casa Sol won us over. The rooms are great, with funky artwork, good facilities. The breakfasts are big and healthy, and prepared right in front of you. Laundry service is cheap compared to other quito casas so make use if it. Large library on premise is a nice touch. The coffee ground and served here is great so make aure you ask for cup! (Free and also complimentary at breakfast)”
