“We arrived late in the evening to Kientzheim and easily found the hotel. The hotel has its own parking area. Good option to stay in Kientzheim, which is a very cosy small village but very picturesque. It was October 31 night, but were were lucky to be hosted in one of the restaurants - Côté Vigne Restaurant, had an amazing dinner. Although in our hotel were were told that both restaurants were fully booked.”
“The staff was very friendly. Our check-in went smoothly and they even upgraded our room for no charge to accommodate our toddler. We originally booked a double room and a suite. But they upgraded us to a family room with two bedrooms and we gave the suite to our parents who were traveling with us. Both rooms were nicely furnished, has a small fridge stocked with drinks (for an extra charge), plenty of linens and pillows. Lots of natural light and warm. Beds were comfortable and the decor was lovely. Our well behaved dog also stayed with us for a small charge. The grounds were nice with free parking included. Outside areas to sit, a small bar for drinks and breakfast (although we didn't partake). The town was very quiet! Only a restaurant or two was open in early September. Some places to taste wine and a small playground for the children. We stayed here to attend a parade in a town nearby.”
“The hotel was a beautiful building with so much character. The receptionist was friendly and helpful in booking an evening meal in a nearby village. The room was very clean and a beautiful bathroom, large shower. The bed was very comfy. We only stayed for one night but there is plenty nearby if you wanted to explore. Parking was safe and easy in a large car park at the back.”
“Nice, but spare, room had a nice balcony with flowers and a pleasant view over local vineyards.”
“It's a very quiet neighbourhood, we drove to the next door village for food in the Auberge. It's a lovely village and the hotel is in keeping.”
“A gorgeous hotel full of character and old world charm. Plenty of car parking space at the back for those in a car. The village itself is quiet which suited us on the evening after a long drive. I would definitely return.”
“Great location for stopover. Modern rooms in old building in lovely historic wine village. Although no restaurant on site there are a couple within 100m, one of which produces fantastic quality modern french food”
“Location was in a quiet areaPeople were friendlyProperty was really nice”
“Kientzheim is one of my favorite villages in France. We find ourselves returning almost annually to taste wine at small, local vintners and enjoy a delicious meal in one of the fabulous local restaurants. This was my first time staying in L'Abbaye d'Alspach and it met the high standards of other small hotels in the region. Very comfortable rooms, a good, hot shower, and a delicious breakfast.”
“Suite was spacious, even so under the roof Fair breakfast”
