“A very traditional ryokan with a super convenient location in gion. A bunch of shrines were literally a 2 minute walk. The kaiseki dinner was also excellent and the private dining room was nice. It being my wifes birthday, they arranged a special cake for my wife that they brought out after the meal and even wrote her a card. They offered us an option of an american breakfast which was a welcome change after 10 days of japanese food.”
