“Kuwera Eco Lodge was our first stop in Sri Lanka. Upon request the hotel arranged transfer from Columbo airport to Kuwera Eco Lodge. The driver,Mahinda Herath tel.+94 774365477was employed by the hotel.The car (Toyota minibus 7 pers) was comfortable with A/C.Mahinda was a very nice guy so we hired him as our driver for 15 days,he knows a lot of useful information about Sri Lanka so if you are looking for a god driver we can recommend Mahinda. We enjoyed our stay at Kuwera,friendly helpful staff,excellent breakfast and a very good chef who invited us to the kitchen to participate in Sri Lanka cooking,also gave lesson how to eat with your fingers.”

“Fantastic setting - really felt like you were in the village. Only downside of this is you are very isolated...but you can't have both i guess! at least a `15min tuk tuk to anything resembling a shop which means you are pretty much tied to the resort for all food and drinks. the food was awesome though. little huts/rooms were amazing. pool was good. Make sure you take a walk into the vegie garden with a tree house looking over the rock. The kids loved playing in the couple of tree houses that the property had. Very friendly staff.”

“Food was very good. Rooms and facilities were very clean. The morning breakfast in their very pleasant garden. The quick response of the manager doing as much as possible to help us when we told them that we were bitten several times by mosquitoes. He also allowed us to cancel the second night we had booked.”

“The staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. They loved the children and enjoyed playing cricket with them! The food was great and it was such a special place. Off the beaten track, as it were, but peaceful and a great place to recharge the batteries. Lovely pool too.”

“The staff and service were excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Note our room did not have aircon but the ceiling fan was sufficient for the amount of time we were in the room.The food was excellent. The hotel was close to sigiriya and was perfect to unwind after the walk up.”
