“The room was basic but clean and comfortable, the staff were both friendly and efficient, they even put up with my exorable schoolboy German and seemed to appreciate that, at least, I made an effort. The food in both the restaurant and at breakfast in the dining room was excellent. I would recommend this lovely quiet countryside oasis to couples and single travellers. I think that the location may be too quiet for families with children which may account for why I did not see any children during my brief stay. The nearby medieval town centre of Gosslar is a short drive away and well worth the effort as it is utterly charming and very photogenic. I wish I had been able to stay longer in both the hotel and the region but, as we were on route to a wedding in rural Poland we had to move on. I would definitely return to both the region of Hartz and this hotel again.”

“Frühstück war geschmacklich und inhaltlich gut aber viel zu teuer. Zimmer sind einem Kloster entsprechend eingerichtet, aber das Bad war schon sehr eng. Die Betten waren gut.”
