“The food in the restaurant is very nice, typical German. The staff is extremely friendly! The hotel is located just out of Kiel (10 minutes by taxi from the railway station), and a very good place to stay the night before catching the boat to Oslo (as we did). Make sure though that the taxi driver also knows it is not in Kiel itself!”
