What guests loved the most

“Staff were very friendly. View from the castle was excellent.”

“The castle, location, staff and food are all great.”

, Ireland

“A true experience of staying in a castle. Everyone was so nice.”

, USA

“We stayed here for a friends wedding. We were in the Geraldine room (no idea at the time this room is haunted). Lovely period hotel, great staff.”

, Ireland

“Our room didn't look like the pictures presented. Adequate but not luxurious!”

, USA

“We loved it there as that is the reason for the trip to Ireland and Scotland... to experience the history of the countries. Suppose to be haunted and that is why we picked it. Had a light show with my electronics in the middle of the night which I thought was cool. Didn't scare me - glad something happened or we would have been disappointed.”

, USA

“The atmosphere of a rustic castle and customer service”

, United Kingdom

“Our room had a window which was broken and could not be opened and our bathroom had no ventilation by way of an extractor fan or window. Those were the only blemishes on a fun visit.”

, United Kingdom

“We were traveling from Connemara to Dublin, and this was a perfect pit stop, putting us 75 minutes from our destination. The atmosphere is fantastic! (Loved walking up the red carpet to reception.) My husband and I felt quite fancy staying here. I recommend eating in their upstairs restaurant- make a reservation, as all tables were occupied the night of our meal. The grounds are nice to take an after dinner stroll before enjoying live music and drinks at the Dungeon Bar. (We bought the group's CD- nice memories to remember when we got home.) The decor in our room was fantastic! We slept in a BOAT BED- for real! I loved the exposed brick walls.”

, USA

“A fun experience to stay in the castle even though it wasn't really as old I thought it was going to be. We had fantastic food both for dinner and breakfast with a lovely view from our window seat. Loved walking around the property. Wish we had gone horseback riding.”
