“I loved the homemade omelettes. The home baked cookies available upon arrival was a nice touch as well. We also enjoyed that the unoccupied rooms were left open so we could take a self tour and check out the different themed rooms. Excellent stay. Recommend it highly.”
“The bed was really comfortable and there were extra pillows. The hotel was very clean. If you are a clean freak you won't be disappointed! The decor was nice antique and reproduction furniture. The morning room where breakfast was laid out was beautifully done. The owner was very personable and a pleasure to talk with. We enjoyed interacting with him. The train tracks across the street did not bother us at all. They had a really nice pool table. The place was easy to get to and there were local restaurants nearby.”

“Great historic Inn/B&B type accommodations. Great restaurant (Steak/Smokehouse with 24 Craft beers on Tap) Each room is decorated with a historical theme and named for an Iowa historical person. Delicious breakfast each morning with main entree changing each day with a staple of juice, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and yogurt every morning. Great coffee with lots of creamer options.”
