“Everything was good, breakfast with home made jams, honey, many breads, cheese, cold cuts, drinks, machine for making sandwiches, true tasty tomatoes, olives, etc. Dimitri speaks perfect English, and all are very nice. They have a lift , not common and so useful. They also recommended the Blue Barrel restaurant one block away, very nice.”

“We were welcomed as a family and can get some hot water and cups for a coffee in our room in the morning. The hotel is not far away from the bus stop, the beach, the bakery and a mini-market. You can rent a good bicycle in the hotel, but the routes in Andros are very difficult and you must be in a good condition. ”

“The Karanassos is a family run hotel so you get the services of a hotel ( reception, bedside light switches, toiletries etc ) combined with the friendly welcome of a Greek homestay. Location is excellent. Less than 100m from beach and with views to the harbour and commercial centre without having to walk up steep hills. Bus and restaurants are 5 mins stroll away. Supermarket a bit further but no uphill. Room is very spacious with the usual TV, Aircon and fridge. Sizeable balcony with great views, table and chairs and a drying line. Small details such as space in bathroom for your toiletries, massive fixed overhead shower rose, more than 3 coat hangers in the wardrobe and although our double was actually two singles put together a top comfort layer made them seem like a king size bed. No falling into the gap. One of the nicest places we have stayed.”
