“This was a stopover between the SouthWest and Coquelles. When pressed for time we normally pull off the autoroute and find an IBIS. This was similar, but better and cheaper. We arrived after reception had closed for the night but they gave us a key code to get in and our room key was waiting for us in reception. The room was a good size and although the breakfast buffet was the usual bread, yogs, preserves, cheese, ham, fruit salad etc the quality of the ingredients was higher than we would have expected at this price. A bonus was a field accessed from the carpark to exercise our cavalier, Maddy. Too late to try the resto but the short menu on the blackboard look appertising.”

“We stay here every time we travel to our little place near Carcassonne - twice a year on average. We discovered Le Garden years ago and fell in love with the hotel and the staff, whom we know well. The original owner has recently sold to another couple and we are hoping the great standard will be maintained, without making too many changes - the food is excellent, the ambience brilliant and the rooms comfortable, with the hotel in attractive gardens in a quiet area, the perfect 'stopping-off point on long journey north to the channel ferry.”
