“Unpretentious roadside inn just adjacent to the famous gardens at Villandry. Has had a bit of a refurb in a more modern style. Fairly basic room but comfortable enough. On a holiday weekend with very hot weather and no a/c we had to keep the windows open which inevitably let in a quite a lot of tourist street noise. Dinner and breakfast in the astroturf 'garden' out back were fine. Staff worked hard and did a good job.”
