- You are advised to bring your own vehicle as the property is not serviced by public transport.<br><br>In order to reach the property you should follow the SS36 direction Lecco. Take the first exit for Abbadia Lariana and follow the street beside the lake. When reaching Varenna, turn left for Varenna centre and through the village. At the bridge, turn right for Esino Lario and after some curves again turn right for Vezio/Vezio Castle. Follow the directions for the castle and the restaurant Il Portichetto.<p>Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.</p><p>Please inform Il Portichetto in advance of your expected arrival time. “The owner Rita is very welcoming and friendly, she even washed our clothes. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the air conditioning was very efficient. There is a restaurant on site serving local cuisine which is good if you don't feel like travelling to Varenna or beyond. The location is peaceful and quiet.”
